Benchmark International has advised on the successful sale of PDC Utility Services Limited (PDC) to Siteserv Group (Siteserv), in a deal which bolsters the industrial services division of its subsidiary, Deborah Services Limited (DSL), for an undisclosed fee.

PDC, based in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, offers specialist transmission tower and maintenance services, including painting, security fencing and substation painting, to a variety of blue chip clients. Other services include condition inspection and assessment.

The acquirer, Siteserv, is a leading, multi-functional infrastructure and utility support services company operating across 50 strategic sites throughout the UK and Ireland. With five subsidiaries and a highly skilled workforce of over 2,400 professionals, Siteserv represents an ideal match for PDC.

On completion of the deal, PDC Managing Director, Michael Bone said, “Both companies share the same cultural and operational synergies, along with geographical footprint in the UK and Ireland.

“We aim to expand and to unlock untapped potential in new markets.”

PDC will continue to operate under its own name, and the acquisition will have no impact on the daily operations of DSL or its management structure.

The timeframe for completion was impressive with the opportunity going live in late 2014, and a successful sale in February 2015.
