Benchmark International is pleased to announce the successful sale of Milestone Operations to Nottingham-headquartered recruitment firm Staffline Group.

Milestone Operations focuses on providing positions for heavy goods vehicles and forklift drivers, as well as warehouse, office and technical staff.

Staffline, is a leading outsourcing organisation providing staffing services to industry, supplying up to 36,000 workers every day to more than 1,300 clients. In addition it is also a leading provider of services to the Government funded Welfare to Work and Skills arena across the UK.

Staffline made the acquisition following “strong levels” of demand for HGV drivers and a shortage of professionals in the HGV sector in the UK.

The group stated that the business is an "attractive strategic fit" that would complement its existing driving business Driving Plus and enhances its presence across the UK.

Andy Hogarth, Chief Executive, of Staffline said "Milestone is not only an expert in the driving market, which is a key focus for growth, but its culture of training and developing its employees while providing the most efficient services for its clients is a perfect match for Staffline.”

He added that “The combination of the two businesses creates one of the largest driving recruitment businesses in the UK and will position us strongly in this growing market."

The acquisition is being funded from Staffline’s existing bank facility.
