Following a fantastic year in 2013 in which Benchmark International achieved a record number deals completed, highest average deal value and multiple and the prestigious ‘Deal of the Year’ award at the Insider Dealmakers awards 2013, our achievements have also been recognised in Experian’s 2013 Advisor League Tables.

Experian Corpfin’s Deal Review and Advisor League Tables summarise the UK’s M&A activity and highlight the highest achievers for the year. Breaking into the league tables is a fantastic achievement given the presence of some of the worlds largest international legal and financial advisory firms.

Benchmark International feature in two regional categories and only just missed out on making the top 10 in a number of others.

Featuring in the league tables is very rewarding for everyone at Benchmark International given the hard work and effort which goes into every deal, however, we do not intend to sit back and admire our achievements. Now firmly in 2014, however, and with a number of deals in the pipeline for completion in the near future, we are looking to eclipse last year’s achievements.

An advantage we are faced with in our efforts to improve on 2013’s achievements is a significantly improving M&A landscape. The M&A environment is much improved from that just 12 months ago when skepticism remained high, however, confidence returned in a big way towards the end of 2013 bringing buyers back in droves. With demand for acquisitions at its highest level since 2008 sellers are now in a very strong position to achieve high values and multiples.
