Today we received a very nice letter of gratitude for our help from Coronation Street following their success at the National Television Awards 2014 which took place last night.
Last year, researchers at Coronation Street contacted Benchmark International requesting advice on a storyline which covered the topic of a business owner considering a sale. Character Carla Connor, at the time, was thinking of selling her clothing manufacturing company Underworld, and the writers wanted to represent the story in as authentic a manner as possible.
With more than a few Coronation Street fans at Benchmark International we jumped at the chance to provide our advice to such a great British institution.
With this amongst many other well written and acted story lines, Coronation Street won the coveted ‘Best Serial Drama’ award, which was much deserved in our opinion.
Our experience working with Coronation Street was fantastic and we would like to congratulate them on their continuing success.
