Benchmark team members to run the Manchester marathon for charity

Posted on April 16, 2013 By

Benchmark International UK team members Roger Forshaw and Andrew Hancock will be competing in this years Manchester marathon in aid of The Christie Charity and The Mo Farah Foundation respectively.

The Christie hospital provides cancer treatment and support for more than 40,000 patients every year. The Charity undertakes vital research and provides essential support for cancer sufferers and their family. Andrew’s chosen charity, The Mo Farah Foundation provides aid for those most in need, particularly in the Horn of Africa due to the recurring issues in that region.

Both charities do amazing work for their respective recipients and millions of people rely on the treatment and aid they provide. If you could spare some money to donate to either Roger’s or Andrew’s fundraising efforts it would be greatly appreciated.

This will be Andrew’s 3rd marathon having previously competed in Manchester and Brighton’s marathon events so he will be fully aware of the challenge that faces him. One thing is for sure that the weather conditions couldn’t possibly be worse than last years event which saw runners faced with gale force winds and strong downpours.

This years event will be Roger’s first marathon but having recently competed in the grueling Tough Mudder event Roger will surely be benefitting from his continued training in recent months.

Everyone at Benchmark International wishes our two brave colleagues the very best of luck for the event and we are sure that they will both not just finish but finish with strong times.
