Benchmark International is pleased to announce the acquisition of Dublin-based EQA to Kent-based Amtivo.

Privately owned EQA is a well-respected certification body, accredited by INAB and approved by the Private Security Authority, offering independent certification services across ISO management systems and product certification in the security industry for more than 28 years. It is also approved by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.

Amtivo is a leading provider of UKAS accredited ISO certification services to SMEs throughout the UK, Europe and South East Asia. The company is backed by August Equity, a private equity group with head operations in London.

This acquisition is the group’s second of 2023 and its 17^th since it was formed in 2018 under CEO, Mike Tims.

Commenting on the latest deal, Mr. Tims said: “The acquisition of EQA enables us to strengthen our foothold in the Republic of Ireland and to provide the group with valuable expertise, highly regarded accreditations, and an established client base. It is also a natural complement to our existing Dublin-based brand, Certification Europe. The combined strengths of the two brands will bring significant benefits to the wider business and enable us to provide clients from both companies with a larger range of products and services, supported by a tech-enabled team.”
